P3D One More Time

A question or two posed to the audio group and let's put this thread to
bed and sorry to all uninterested parties.  Please reply off list. Let's
say I want my music encoded in Dolby Pro Logic ( not Dolby digital aka
AC3) Is the encoding process available to an unsigned artist?  Is this
process exclusive to Dolby Labs or can private studios offer this
process?  Is the process of encoding applied after the tracks are
recorded? Could I supply a DAT or ADAT master let's say 8 tracks....and
co-produce the Dolby mix to guarantee the desired steering etc. I'd
appreciate any info! Greg, Jon, Mike.....any ideas? Thanks.

Can I use my Red Button as a " punch in" switch? :-) Sorry, wanted to
tie in stereo photography somewhere. :-)
