P3D carnivore stereovision

I remember some nature special where they mentioned that predator
_MAMMALS_ had stereovision - herbivores had side-eyed, protective,
IMAX vision. I also remember someone writing here that lizards,
(reptile predators with sidewall vision) bob their heads for depth perception.
Some primates, including higher chimps, are known to _occassionally_
hunt or chomp down on the juicy, red stuff. On one televised
occasion, it was another chimp - an infant, (possibly his own), that a
big male snatched from the mother's arms. Could'a been an "evolutionary/
survival/mating" thing to make the female go back into heat. The other
males circled and joined in the "feast." The narrator said earlier that our
DNA is only 1% different from the chimps. After witnessing the above,
I say "Thank God for that 1%!" (Not that H. Sapiens are short on other
kinds of atrocities)
Back to my rare-cooked sirloin,
LS
