P3D changing shutter speeds

With all this talk about not changing shutter speeds on cameras once
they are wound or cocked, I was wondering: is it okay to change the
shutter speed on a VM Personal once it is wound?  Because winding
after each picture prevents light leaks through the shutter blades.
