P3D KinDar; XA-2 twin bar for vertical format

I just bought a KinDar on E-Bay. Has anyone used this camera. It was designed by Seton Rochwite. It has a combined viewfinder/rangefinder and cocks the shutter during film advance.

I would like to convert my Olympus XA-2 twin rig to vertical format. Has anyone done this? With 3/4" spacing between the camera bases, I measure a 75mm stereo base. I would like the mount to allow a small amount of toe-in when shooting close ups. This should allow viewing of the slides as they come back from processing without remounting and losing a lot of the frame.

One reason for trying this format is that when the prints are scanned, it makes for great stereo pairs on the computer monitor, with each image 7"W x 10"H. Use the VueMagic side-by-side viewer for this. Any keystone distortion on closeups due to toe-in can be corrected with a feature built into Corel PhotoPaint. Also, Boris S. has had good results using this format for portraits. Another reason is that I don't want to take my RBT to China in June, as it might not return. Yet another reason is that when making 3.5x7" stereoviews from full-frame images, it doesn't matter if you start from a vertical or from a horizontal format because you crop it down to almost square anyway.

The disadvantage is that I won't be able to remount them in RBT mounts.

A piano hinge mounted to aluminum strips or angles would allow for the adjustment. The hinge should be at the rear, to avoid widening the stereo base when toe-ing in. Time to brush up on my AutoCad and draw up a design.
