P3D cha cha method

I'm a beginner in stereo photography and I've made my first stereo pictures
(color slides) by the cha cha method. One week ago I've received the results.
With a self built stereo viewer (made of two simple single slide viewers) I could
easily see the stereo effect. It's great!!! For my first experiences I've choosed
landscape scenes with no moving objects (except of birds and cars in the far
distance). I think it was a great advantage for me that it's winter now (in
Germany) and no moving leaves are on the trees. When taking the two pictures of
the stereo pair I've always point at the same distinct object in the scene (f.i.
church, mountain, telegraph pole, tree etc.). I've placed this object resp. a
part of this object always exactly in the centre of the view finder of my camera
in order to reduce height errors. As mentioned above the results are satisfying
(I guess for a beginner only).
So I really can say, that the cha cha method is indeed a good (and very cheap)
entry into stereo photography.
