Those who have been in an NSA convention lately, know that the Brackett 
Fader in the hands of Jon Golden or Bob Brackett (these are the ones who
usually use it in the convention) projects flawlessly... Jon Golden
in particular has taken this instrument to new heights with manual
dissolves that vary depending on the subject, music, mood of the
projectionist, etc... 

In the last NSA convention I noticed many alignment errors with 2x2x2 
slides and not with the R-mounted slides.

At the end, it might be the skill of the person doing the mounting...
