Hi, I'm new to this list. I've been photographing on and off as
a hobby for years with a TDC Colorist and before that with a
Kodak Stereo camera. Now I'm interested in starting to experiment
with lenticulars and I just found this list sooo...
I have a few questions that I'd greatly appreciate if anyone could
provide some experienced insight into:
1) Regarding 3, 4, and even 5 lens cameras out there:
a) Do more lenses always equate with a better 3d effect or is there
any other reason to select between these types?
b) Are there any trade-offs, such as reduced sharpness (of the
final lenticular image) with more lenses or more expensive
processing or harder to find processing?
2. Any suggestions for a good camera to start with? I might eventually
want to apply the pictures to a commercial use, so quality of the image
is important to me. I don't necessarily want to start with the most
expensive camera out there, though :)
I was thinking of a Nishika 8000. Would I be better off with a 3-lens
type camera to start with like the Nimslo or a lower cost one like the
3Dfx, 3D100, 3D Wizard, or the 3D Trio?
Well, that's a lot of questions, but insight into any of these will be
very greatly appreciated. There's quite a bit of info on the Web, but I
haven't been able to find anything that addresses these particular
questions.
Thanks in advance!
Chuck Schwimmer
