I have heard that this mount was designed to fit in the back
channel of the TDC 116 projector but it was discontinued because
of lack of interest. I am cc'ing reel-3d to this. I will post
any information I might get.

Except only in the horizontal format. Will not allow vertical
(portrait) orientation as the Franka or simply taping the
two mounts does.

There is another system, developed by Radex. This is based around
the Radex Binocular-Scope, a decent all-metal viewer with large
lenses, focusing and binocular-type eyepieces. Radex produced
metal frames with dimensions 4.5 x 2 inches. These frames can
take 2x2 slides (in any orientation) and would be more suitable
for projection. (I have a viewer and pack of frames to offer for
sale shortly in sell-3d.
