P3D Getting on the Web

I need some simple step by step advice. I'm interested in building a website
and putting my stereo images out there in cyberspace, but I'm missing a lot
of computer know how and information. My finances are very tight so I want
to do it as simply and inexpensively as possible. I have a Power Mac but I
don't have and can't afford PhotoShop. Can someone tell me what software
they'd recommend to get started on the cheap? Is there an inexpensive
scanner that's compatible with Macs or would it make more sense to have my
slides scanned commercially?
