I wonder if the Saturn MF viewer has room to
"drop in" another set of achromats behind the
existing ones to shorten the FL and give higher
magnification when you view your 2x2 slides.
I built a multiformat viewer (Realist, 2x2
and 2x2 verticals) based on large diameter
double achromats for each eye (two 36mm dia by
94mm FL). The viewer uses Franka adapters from
Reel 3-D to hold the 2x2's or Realist slides.

The resulting lenses are excellent though
the 50mm effective FL is a bit long. 45mm
or so like the redbutton would be nicer.
If I had more time and woodworking skill
I might try to build the ultimate multiformat
viewer that handled MF, Realist and 2x2 by
removing one set of achromats to view the MF.
(say 40mm dia by 80mm FL for MF and 40mm dia
by 45mm FL for 35mm formats).
