Here is a different testimony:  I loved the gentle depth in the 
Dial "M" for Murder 3D movie.  This is what 3D movies should aim
for.  Let the "special effects" for 10 minute attractions in theme
parks.  For a 2 hour movie with content (actual plot and actors)
gentle is better.
