I've only seen it on tv and can't vouch for the effectiveness of the 3-D,
but I expect the scene where (WARNING! I'm giving away major plot points of
the film here) Grace Kelly is being strangled and she's frantically
reaching out for a pair of scissors in the foreground as a weapon would be
a highlight.

Hm.  I knew there was a giant phone built, but it didn't register while I
was watching.  Subtle indeed.
