I caught a mention of this on zdtv yesterday, and followed their
link to the film website. Of particular interest is the Quicktime
70 frame sequence:

http://www.whatisthematrix.com/cmp/sfx-bullet_videos.html

which shows the actual camera setup used. The "#2" video
is the more interesting. But also look at the "stills" page,
which shows the individual cameras arranged in a circle, with
a Panavision camera. The still cameras appear to be Canon(s)
It's not clear if they are film or CCD, but there isn't much
wiring, making it look like perhaps they are film based,
but sequentially fired electronically (maybe?). They are calling
this "Flo-Mo" according to the text.

One of the notable things about this sequence is that although the
character appears to get frozen falling halfway to the ground,
there is still motion going on in the frame. I thought at first
it must have been done with computer animation, but on looking
at this sequence, they seemed to have done it all in one
shot.

There is a fair amount of interesting stuff at several places on
the site although it must be getting hit fairly hard as I was able
to bring in the quicktime sequence at only 5kb over our T1 line
(with 700k it took a few minutes).
