Yes, I pointed this out in the first part (repost) of my message:

And if you do use f4 then you will get very sallow DOF in the foreground,
while with the other system you can still use f16 in the foreground.

That's correct.  I have found fluorescent light to be a problem.

Oh sure.... Only I don't remember you ever carrying a slave flash...
The point is, lack of convenience.
