This is what happens if you do not have Java 1.1 support.
It is not part of the "typical" (default) install, of MS
Internet Explorer (surprise- Microsoft doesn't want to make
it easy to use a multi-platform non-Windows standard) you
have to select the "Virtual Machine" option from the
custom install.

So for all of you who are thinking of moving up to IE-5.0 I
would strongly urge you to do the custom install and get the
Java support (Virtual Machine).

If you already have DepthCharge then you don't really need
Stereoscope, the big advantage of Stereoscope is that, with
Java support, it can provide multiple viewing options on many
different systems, i.e.. Mac, Linux, OS/2 (snicker), etc. DepthCharge
only works with Win/95/98/NT.

On the other hand, even if you have DepthCharge you may want
to get Java enabled for the many other Java applets that are
being created. I've even seen sophisticated computer graphics
programs written as Java applets.

Oh, and the OCC meeting is tonight (Tuesday), when I posted
the message yesterday I didn't consider that the digest might
not be sent until today!
