Actually, the V-M image is about the size of a 16mm movie frame. Those
can produce sharp, brilliant projected images. So I don't see an
intrinsic reason why V-M projection couldn't be just as stunning.
The problem, I believe, is in the less than ideal Stereomatic 500
projector, with its single lamp and mirror system. I've seen hand-made
V-M adaptors for the TDC Vivid projectors, but it seems you'd want to
fit 1" - 2" projection lenses for the best results. I suspect the
Brackett dissolve could be adapted to properly project V-M reels,
especially if good 2" lenses were fitted. Anyone ever try this?
