I've never had a problem with my Realist, but I was worried about the
"jury-rigged" wiring, etc. getting some security person's attention.

I've never had a problem with the CPAP machine.  I carry a letter from my
doctor in the case, but no one's ever asked to see it, etc.  The biggest
problem with the CPAP is that it's yet another carry-on bag to worry about.
