Actually more than a little bit more, in my opinion. Mounting affects the
relationship of the image with the "window" (the frame around the picture),
and this is more critical when an image in projected than when it is viewed
in a hand viewer. A hand viewer is ironically a little like an IMAX
image--it is so large in your field of view that the barriers become less
important. On a "normal" screen, the edges are more obvious. Especially if
you are planning to enter a picture into competition somewhere, mounting
becomes an extremely important consideration.
