Sure, that works.

But don't you find the images to be a bit small?  (Keeping in mind that
crossviewing has the propensity to make things appear even smaller than
they really are.)

Also, if you do in-camera dupes, don't you find it confusing trying to
match up the appropriate pairs?  I know I do, when I shoot Realist
format.

I think the *concept* of uncut-roll viewing is a good one, but as Bob H.
points out, even if the film path doesn't contact the image, the
cinching of the film onto the receiving spool still may scratch the
emulsion if the slightest bit of dust gets on the film, which is almost
inevitable in the typical home environment.  (If you live in a
class-10,000 clean room the above comments may not apply to you.)
