P3D Image Technology
hi friends,
Alan Woods information is not quite up-to-date. Since we, at The Widescreen Centre, operate one of the lenticular printing machines we have watched the problems of Image Tech over a period. We have also spoken to Bob Caroll in L.A., and to one of their employees whom we have met in the past (at our own nottingham facility) and they do expect to be up and running again shortly.
Their real problem, as we see it, was that their price structure was too low to make a reasonable profit. Keen 3-D enthusiats are rarely willing to pay the real market price for their products....you should meet them over our counter any day of the week....and expect commercial interests to supply them 'out of gratitude for using the equipment' ! As a result, many organisations have 'bit the dust' in both of our countries and 3-D has never found its true potential in the market.
Watch this space for further news!
Regards
p.s. Have youbought a copy of THE SUN IN ECLIPSE by Patrick Moore
and Michael Maunder yet? It cost only £19 and helps to put you in the picture
with the approaching eclipse in August.
p.p.s Meet us at the SURREY COUNTY SHOW on 31st May 1999
STAND 22 Shopping Arcade.
