P3D Best 2x2x2 viewer

I know what you mean. I have a Franka, a Stereokit, one of those cheap
ones with the stupid round diffusers and a pricey Gitzo. When I shoot a
roll (or 2) of 2x2x2 I drag out all of them. I get frustrated with one
and try a different one. My favorite is probably the out of production
Stereokit. This is the one with the bendy thing in the center to adjust
interocular. The bendy thing seems to always crack on these and I have
repaired mine with flexible epoxy. Sometimes I take the diffusers off
the Franka or Gitzo and place the slides and viewer right on a light
box. I always preview the slides this way to see which are worthy of
mounting in a Spicer x-wide mount. If someone were to make one from a
pair of viewers I think it would be important to have vertical
adjustment on one side, and of course interocular. Plus They should do
verticals as will as horizontals. For optical quality it may be best to
start with a couple good loupes or better yet a couple nice big
achromats such are in the SaturnScope.
