Hi, Janni, and all!

That was a nice reply to get on a Monday morning four days before
the end of the school year! Made my day!

The Porter/Franka beamsplitter people I heard from got me to thinking.
Aside from the second-surface mirrors, this is an advantageous unit
(I think Porter and Franka are the same) since it can be adjusted.
It may be on the flimsy side, but you can always be careful with it
for some special shots! How about replacing the second-surface mirrors
with front-surface mirrors? Exactly what size are those mirrors?
Could be a lot cheaper than buying a Stitz or Miida splitter!

I think of the animal below as being a kitten--at least that's what
my signature file is called! I got it from one of the cat newsgroups--
it's been around awhile--don't know where it originated. I did a
stereo version, changing things around in the right "image,"
but my system insisted on substituting tabs for some of the spaces,
so it never looked right when I sent it! I also know it looks different
depending on the font--Courier or Courier New and it looks like a kitten,
I think--variable-spaced fonts, who knows!
