P3D Mercury II Stereo Outfit

Just came across this on ebay:

A pair of Univex Mercury IIs with a bottom-to-bottom mount for stereo.
The description makes it clear that there is no provision for
synchronizing the shutters other than pressing the releases
simultaneously.

The Mercury II is an interesting camera with a rotary, metal, film plane
shutter. It is a half-frame camera, so this outfit would produce pairs
in the 3X4 horizontal orientation.

You would have to be inventive to mount the pairs, but it might be
interesting.

If anybody here buys it, let us know what you accomplish with it.
