P3D Large Format Cinema Animation Conference

I thought I would pass this along for those in England
who might be interested. With so much of the Large
format cinema going towards 3D, there might be some
interesting things here:

The Bradford Animation Festival (BAF!) will be held
Monday June 21st, 1999. The National Museum of
Photography, Film & Television, Bradford will host a
one day international conference devoted to the future
of animation in large format films. The conference will
open on Sunday June 10th with a screening of THE OLD
MAN AND THE SEA, introduced by award winning
animator Alexander Petrov, followed by a conference
dinner.

The conference will include an overview in the giant IMAX (r)
medium, followed by presentations from ground breaking
animators working in the field. One of the topics at BAF! will
be the new IMAX SANDDE 3D animation used in PAINT
MISBEHAVIN', which will also be screened. The conference
will close with a special screening of IMAX Corporation's 3D
film T-REX: BACK TO THE CRETACEOUS.
Conference registration, including refreshments is 50. plus VAT.
