I don't know if this issue concerns you but the Verascope has been
tenderly called "Flarescope" because it tends to flare...

For many Verascope users the lens shade is a must... and some have
gone further to painting the interior of the camera matte black
to reduce internal reflections.  Check the photo-3d archives for more
discussion on this... Also, I seem to remember an article by Colin Clay
in the Stereoscopic Journal on this subject...
