Any picture taken with spacing of lenses greater than 2.5" (average
spacing of the eyes) qualifies as a hyperstereo. Separations of
several feet and more are common. Hyperstereos are used to stereo
photograph distant scenes or large objects. In addition to their
novetly, they have interesting applications in science and engineering
as for example is aerial hyperstereos used for topographical mapping, etc.
