Another reason copyright laws are so hard to understand is that so many
people who don't know an answer assume by that that there IS no answer. No,
colors cannot be "copyrighted". Only text and images are copyrighted. Under
certain specific circumstances, colors (highly specific colors, not just
"green") CAN be trademarked--as part of a graphic logo, for instance.
