P3D Berezin's new 2x2 viewer, the "SuperSharp"

Steve Berezin has recently offered a new 2x2 and R-mount viewer to the
list, based on the Franka viewer. The achromatic Franka. I tried it, but
did not like it because of a lack of interocular adjustment / flexibility.
I suggested he put his achromatic lenses into the Reel-3d "Pinsharp"
viewer, because I really like the simplicity of the Pinsharp, but it could
use improved optics.
Steve tried it, sent me the result, and I love it. A very simple little
viewer with very good optics. Since I'm still in a naming mood, I'm going
to call mine a "Supersharp." (TM). (I'll be expecting Bob to look that up
for me...)
Here's what I wrote to him a couple days ago:
"So the viewer is great... Sharpness and particularly contrast and color
are much improved with these lenses. Chromatic aberration is absent.
Distortion is not totally absent, but quite a bit better than the Pinsharp
original plastic lenses."
I've been looking for an affordable improvement on the Pinsharp for over a
year - until now without success. Seems the next step up has been in the
several hundred dollar range at least. Too much for me. So you can
imagine my happiness with this little viewer, after so long a wait.
This little viewer is just right. Very affordable, simple, easy, good optics!
Look for it in Green Bay!
