P3D VM personal camera problem, please help

Hello,
I'm seeking information on adjusting the distance between the lenses on my
viewmaster personal camera.  The developed views are 1/32 of an inch too
far apart.  This translates to not matching with the film cutter.
Can the lenses be adjusted to correct this problem?
Is anyone else using the VM personal to make reels?
Is anyone else having this problem?
Who or where can do this adjustment?
I spoke with a reputable camera repair company in my home town.
The owner sees very few stereo cameras.  He doesn't think the distance
between the lense can be changed.  His opinion is that the distance
it permanent.
Any help on this problem would be most appreciated.
