P3D Imax and the FIFTIES (oh no!)

I went to see the Imax 3-D movie, "Encounter in the 3rd Dimension"
at the opening of the 3rd Imax theatre in Montreal last week. They
were handing out free 12" by 18" posters of the movie. The poster
stated, "This is NOT your parents' 3-D!" Now I wonder,....which
generation of parents are they referring to? The FIFTIES generation
(or maybe '80s)?

BTW, Lawrence Kaufman has an interesting review of the movie and
copy of the poster in the March issue of the SCSC newsletter
(available for download as a PDF file, wow cool!).
