Setting up a convention is incredibly complex, and someone will always have
a conflict. In my case, the timing is ideal.

I have participated in the planning of several similar conferences. There
are hundreds of important details, and each one will be wrong for somebody.
There ALWAYS be people who think it's a disaster, and others who think it's
perfect. Arm-chair quarterbacking is common. The simple solutions almost
never work.

To top it off, the people who spent *hundreds* of hours planning it are
volunteers. It makes me cringe when I think of the lost sleep. Once
you've done one, you say "thanks" louder than you criticize.

My hat is off to Harry and the others who have busted their butts for our
pleasure. I know it will be a big success.

Cheers,

Tom
