P3D erratic Nimslo exposure

Hi!

My Nimslo has been giving erratic exposures--usually 1 1/2 to 2
stops under, even after fresh batteries. These are not underexposures
caused by bright backgrounds--there aren't any, except for one
bright white bulletin board, which was properly exposed. Sometimes
I get the correct exposure. There is no rhyme or reason except
that it seems to be worse at the low end of the exposure scale
(but on shots where the green light is on and there is clearly
enough light). It does not vary on any one given occasion, either,
like the first shot light and the second one dark, if I am taking
two of the same subject. I have been told that Nimslos underexpose,
although mine was right on to start with--.3 ND filter over the
cell at the 400 setting with Kodachrome 200. Now I'm shooting
at the 100 setting with no filter over the cell.

Is there anyone out there who repairs these cameras? I do have
a repair manual but am hesitant to tear into it without knowing
what I'm looking for, except that I suspect the photocell,
which is probably unavailable. I had a similar problem with
my XA2, which was cured when the photocell was replaced.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Meanwhile, I'll bracket.  :-/
(I have a little square of ND filter on Velcro to go over
the photocell.)
