P3D Re: Stereo Realist Owner's Manual on-line?

Thank you Linda! It is not on-line yet (maybe soon...) but here is a
copy in text form. There is only one figure showing the sprocket
wheel inside the camera that must engage to the film sprockets.
--- DR. T's QUICK REALIST GUIDE ----------------------------------
BEFORE: Familiarize yourself with the camera & controls. Try the
rangefinder & viewing windows. Cock the shutter and fire at 1 sec.
LOADING: Switch "rewind disk" to "R" (Rewind). Open back (lock is at
bottom). Pull film rewind knob up. Place film canister in left.
Thread film leader under top-center guard and sprocket wheel (See
Figure) to pick-up spool at right. Turn film wind knob slightly to
make sure that the leader is secured to the pick up spool. Close
back.
Switch rewind disk to "A" (Advance). Turn film wind knob until you
hear a "click" and cannot advance further. Push the "film wind
release button" (back right), start advancing, release button
immediately. Advance until click. (Note: This is the procedure to
advance the film) Repeat. (At this point you are advancing two
frames to skip the exposed area of the film.) Set counter to "1".
Ready to go.
It is important that the film passes under the film guard (shown here)
and that the film sprockets engage to the sprocket wheel (which turn
freely in "R"). This must be done before you close the back.
Note: If the film wind knob turns without a click to stop it, then you
have either forgotten to switch to "A" (in which case the counter is
moving) or the film has not engaged to the sprocket wheel (counter is
not advancing) or the film leader has slipped off the pick-up spool
(film rewind knob is not advancing). In the first two cases rewind
film carefully and stop right when the film rewind knob stops
advancing (so as not to lose the film leader into the canister).
Open the back and try again.
SHOOTING: Follow this routine: cock the shutter just before taking a
new picture and advance right after taking the picture. A red spot
should appear after a picture is taken and before advancing. Earlier
models will not prevent double exposures. In later models ("two
button models", some earlier cameras were retrofitted with this
feature) you have to pull a lever in the back left to be able to
intentionally double expose.
Do not change shutter speeds after the shutter is cocked. Never set
the shutter ring between speeds. There are no in-between settings.
Do not use less than 1/25 speed without a tripod or sold support.
Select faster shutter speeds over smaller apertures.
UNLOADING: When you cannot advance any more (29 pairs in 36 exp.
rolls or 19 pairs in 24 exp. rolls) set the rewind disk to "R" and
rewind (turn knob at left as indicated by arrows to collect exposed
film back into the film canister). Open back, remove film.
