You should make sure you got the film loaded under the small
metal clip above the sprocket wheel before proceeding, if you
haven't already done so.

Use the lever at the bottom front of the camera to cock the
shutter. Pull all the way from right to left and release it.
Trip the shutter by pressing the button at the top left of
the camera. To advance the film, press and hold the advance
lock button at the back top right side of the camera, then
turn the advance knob. After starting the film advance,
release the lock button, and continue winding until the
advance locks again.
