P3D Viewmaster format philosophy

Hi!

As someone who shoots in a smaller stereo format (half-frame),
I often think it would be nice to have a larger film area to
work with, and dream of a Realist-format or European-format camera.
I could also step up sometime in the future, and remount my
best slides in Realist-format 4-perf mounts.

But how about you Viewmaster people out there? Your format
is smaller than 18X24mm, and I don't think there are any
Realist-format mounts for Viewmaster film chips (watch someone
tell me there are!). I know that the Viewmaster format is
famous and time-honored, and I personally find it fascinating--
the reels with their circle of cutouts. (I also used to shoot
a lot of Kodachrome in Minolta-16 (10X14mm) and 110 formats--
Viewmaster is very close to that.)

So what do you like about the Viewmaster format? I'll just
throw out one of my favorites--I prefer a square format, even
though for various reasons I don't use one right now (used to
have a Kodak Instamatic Reflex and Instamatic 500 (German
camera, Schneider lens). What keeps you shooting Viewmaster
when you could be standing on the same spot, taking the same
picture with a Realist, Kodak, Belplasca, etc.?
