But how about you Viewmaster people out there? Your format
is smaller than 18X24mm, and I don't think there are any
Realist-format mounts for Viewmaster film chips (watch someone
tell me there are!). I know that the Viewmaster format is
famous and time-honored, and I personally find it fascinating--
the reels with their circle of cutouts. (I also used to shoot
a lot of Kodachrome in Minolta-16 (10X14mm) and 110 formats--
Viewmaster is very close to that.)
So what do you like about the Viewmaster format?

To answer the last bit first: "what keeps me shooting ViewMaster when I could
be taking the same picture with a Realist, Kodak, Belplasca, etc.?"
I usually stand at the same spot and shoot with my Belplasca etc as well!
The attraction of the ViewMaster is that I can make triplicate shots of
everything. Then I can make up spare reels to give away...
With regards to Realist style mounts for my ViewMaster chips, why would I
want them? The whole point of the ViewMaster reel is that I can make each one
a "mini-sequence" with a set theme. E.g. I have done reels on a number of
Ancient Egyptian temples. To put the individual pairs into Realist style
mounts would completely go against the raison d'etre of the format...
