My guess is that they are treating it like a toy that is not to be taken
that seriously. If VM products were more widely used, and if their reels
were better, and they used a little class, then we would have better
viewers. As I see it, Fisher-Price thinks it is a toy for kids, markets it
that way and naturally, products the product at a quality level befitting a
toy. Older folks do not care about VM and if they buy one it is for the
kids. Ubtil VM is taken more seriously, it will stay cheap as will the
available reels.
