The 386 batteries I use in my Nimslo are Silver Oxide 1.55V (watch
batteries most easily obtained locally at the jewelry dept of Walmart;
Target is often and KMart is usually out of this size). I have never
seen them in alkaline.

In search of long lasting colors and a little more speed, I tried
Kodachrome 200 in my Realist for a while (multiple rolls, a year or two
ago) until I really noticed that it is quite grainy. I went back to
Sensia 100 and I have been very happy with it. I don't know if other
higher speed slide films are all as grainy, but I wasn't at all happy
with Kodachrome 200. The colors may last, but the images weren't good
enough for me to _care_ whether they lasted or not. -Linda
