I a curious as to what "ISU did not recognize stereo cards" means... 
They did not recognize stereo cards as a valid stereo photographic
expression?  ISU is the International Stereoscopic Union.  Their
primary function is the sponsoring of the "World Congress" (this
year it is in Lindau, Germany, September 22-27th).  They also
publish the quarterly magazine "Stereoscopy".

As far as I know (and I might be totally wrong), ISU does not 
sponsor slide circuits or an International Slide Competition.  
Maybe they do not recognize stereo slides???
