P3D Realist to VM...a far-fetched idea?

Is there anyway to duplicate a Realist format slide, except reduce it to
View Master size in the process? It would seem that the use of close-up
lenses on a Realist-format camera equipped with a low-contrast slide
duplicating film could be used to photograph a mounted slide held in
front of the camera at the proper distance to yield an image size
suitable for mounting in a View Master reel.

If this could be done, you could dupe your favorite Realist slides,
mount them in View Master reels, and give them to friends and family
(with a View Master viewer, if necessary). This would seem to be an
efficient way to share your 3-D photography!
