P3D Re: Nimslo and XA underexposure

That's a good sign, for sure.

I don't know about the supply or the repairman, could be both! 
About a generic cell for the Nimslo, that would be possible
assuming one knows of the particular characteristics of the
original. Still, even with a direct replacement (from what I
gather in the Nimslo Guide Book, from Reel 3-D) is the camera
would still have to be calibrated.
