In my entirely subjective experience, the results are quite good.
Obviously, page-flipped is to be preferred to interlace, but if your
hardware (or OS) doesn't support it, interlaced is acceptable.

If you visit the Vrex Expo site, you can use DepthCharge to display an
interlaced image, even if you don't have shutter glasses, and view the
results for pixelation.  Most of my images, at
<http://www.3dexpo.com/gallery/gallery_wageman.htm> are in the
~930x~320x24 range (they are scans of full-frame pairs).
