I find the edge sharpness of my modified red-button to be
very good and I can view the entire width of the widest
RBT mount (33 mm) without problems.... but I understand
how opinions on this can vary...

Other viewers to look for:  Modified Kodaslide II, Revere,
Wollensak, TDC.  Most of the so-called 7p-ready viewers
might need a bit of widening to view the 7p image area
comfortably.

I would not hold my breath about FED making a *good* viewer.
Not many manufacturers will put achromatic lenses in a viewer
today.
