P3D Loreo Problems

Hi, I use a Loreo for most of my fast and easy shooting for stereo. I
like the format 1/2 frame format since it's so convenient for
developing and prints. At least for me, it's nice.

However my old Loreo broke and none of the local shops could fix it.
So, I picked up a new one (well, relatively new). I am having problems
with light and reflections on this one that I never noticed to such a
strong degree in the old camera.

The included shade (the one that sticks on to the front of the camera)
doesn't seem to be up to the challenge. I've noticed that in a lot of
my most recent prints there are "reflections" of folks not in the shot
ghosting in the image. It's very annoying.

Anyone have better ways of avoiding this without ditching the camera?
There are some recent photos taken with the camera of a recent Comic
World Cosplay in Taiwan - cosplayers are fans of Japanese comic books
who dress up in the costumes of their favorite comics - in my gallery at
http://phillips.personal.nccu.edu.tw/tits/cw-8-frame.html - any advice
would be helpful.

My flash misfires a lot too and rather than having it fixed I would like
to have the standard flash for that camera replaced with a more powerful
one, or perhaps a shoe. Anyone done this have details on the web
somewhere I could take a look?

I'd rather continue to use the Loreo even though it is a rather simple
camera. My wife prefers to use our Franka Beamsplitter on the Minolta
but I like the portability and ease of use of the Loreo. Go figure.
