No, I don't think so.  The usage difference between linear
and circular polarizers relates to auto-focus operation.
Autofocus usually doesn't work with linear polarizers, but
is fine with circular polarizers.  TTL or off-the-film
metering should be correct with either polarizer.

Manually adjusting meter readings for a polarizer applies
when using a hand-held meter.
