P3D Re: Twinned Olympus XA2

Howard Wade askes the question about aligning the auto exposure of the XA2s.
The solution is to take test shots and adjust the cameras using the ASA
setting to get the exposures as close as possible.
David Stuckey's "fabulous" five part article on coupling the model XA
doesn't cover the XA2.
In coupling the XAs the master / slave arrangement means that one camera
does the metering and exposure calculations for both cameras. This is the
crux of the conversion and solves a lot of problems when just coupling the
shutter releases together.
For the patient, I have a XA2 on my bench and am planning to dismantle it
and figure out whether there is a way to couple these as a master / slave
pair, however, I'm up to my eyeballs in preparations for the ISU congress in
Lindau at present.
So don't expect anything on the subject this year!
I hope to see as many of you as possible in Lindau. If you're not there,
I'll assume you're saving your cents, pennies, centimes, pfennigs, lira &
yen to come to Sydney in 2001 for the first ISU congress of the millennium!
Regards to you all
David Stuckey
