P3D X4 Analogy

My opinion of the X4 is best described by the "running shoe" analogy.
Let's say you are very serious about running and want to improve your
time/performance. You decide to purchase a $300 pair of performance
shoes. As an experienced athlete you understand that training,
conditioning and diet are just as important, if not more important than
quality shoes, but the shoes are a requirement to attaining the next
level of performance. If you lose the competition, you may be able to
blame a poor pair of shoes. If you win the competition, you certainly
cannot attribute the victory to the shoes...but you are smart enough to
realize that the shoes were needed to win....needed to maximize your
performance and potential. The X4 is a tool to attain this new level. It
is not perfect, it does not take perfect pictures for you, but a lesser
camera user would have to be twice as talented to beat you. With 3 rolls
under my belt I can say that I have several images from this camera that
I will enter in competitions. I have many lousy ones too......but these
good shots are the type of shots I could never capture quite the same
way with my Realist. As I work with the camera more, I'm sure I'll keep
getting better!
