P3D 2X converters

Tell us about your experiences with the 2X converters on the X4 George.
I'm sure you lost 2 stops of light, and the viewfinder appeared to
vignette right? I would think the X4 metered just fine and no signs of
vignetting would appear on the final image. Was it difficult to focus
through and did you have to use a tripod?
