P3D so-called archival Kodachrome

I concur with John Goodman's observations about the so-called 'archival'
qualities of Kodachrome. Having examined many old Kodachrome slides,
I've noted similar problems: off-color spots, fissures, fungus-like
growths etc. etc.

Question: are there any techniques for restoring Kodachrome images so
affected?

Happily, I should add that my *own* Kodachromes, taken after 1956, are
all in good shape.
