I saw an ad in a computer graphics magazine for stereo head mounted displays
from a company called Kaiser and went to their web site:  http://www.keo.com
<http://www.keo.com>   They have several different models offering different
resolutions up to 1024 x 768 and different fields of view from 30 to 60
degrees.  They are industrial/medical grade instruments and priced
accordingly.  The XGA models were about $15,000  and the two VGA models were
on sale for $5000/$6000.  I can buy a couple of used monitors that will do
1024 x 768 and set up a mirror arrangement that will accomplish the same
thing (hard to wear while sitting in the La-Z-Boy though) for about $500 but
I am fascinated by these types of displays.
